The National to Headline Benefit Concert Welcoming Syrian Refugees to Canada

The National are headlining a benefit concert called “Welcome to Hamilton” which aims to welcome Syrian refugees coming to Canada. It’s happening June 3 at 6 PM at New Vision United Church at 24 Main St. W in Hamilton, Canada. Kevin Drew from Broken Social Scene is also performing, as is Hayden, Max Kerman of Arkells, Terra Lightfoot, Mother Tareka, and Crystal Journey. The event’s tagline reads: “A benefit concert to raise funds for music, arts, and recreation for Syrian newcomer youth.” Tickets are $100 each and go on sale this Friday, May 13, at 10 AM local time.
