The National to Perform “Sorrow” For Six Hours Straight
MoMA Ps1, May 5 From Noon to 6PM
Apr 25, 2013 The National
The National are about to get really really sorrowful. As part of an installation by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson, the band will perform High Violet track “Sorrow” for six hours straight. The extended performance goes down May 5 from noon until 6PM.
“You’ll have a chance to watch us perform for a few minutes at a time,” explains the band via newsletter, “But the audio will be audible in the courtyard, so you can hear what happens as we play ‘Sorrow’ again and again and again.”
The project—appropriately enough—is called “A Lot of Sorrow.”

I’m glad to know that they are so considerate to those people who could not make it inside they still find a way to let them hear it.
