Isle Of Wight duo The Pill have released their new single, “Scaffolding Man,” today (October 3rd). This marks their first release since signing with AWAL and features their trademark humor alongside a DIY punk sound, characterized by raw guitar riffs, urgent vocals, and a layer of melodic pop. “Scaffolding Man” follows the promise of their somewhat unhinged sef released debut single, “Bale Of Hay.”
The duo shares the inspiration behind “Scaffolding Man”: “Are you in love? Or are you just freaked out? How about both? ‘Scaffolding Man’ is a love song with attitude; a romance for the stage, but maybe not for your wedding day. Pick up the bubble bath and open the curtains - The Pill’s second single has arrived.” With Lily on guitar, and Lottie on bass whilst sharing vocal duties, the duo know how to turn life’s awkward and absurd moments into riotous, in-your-face anthems tackling topics ranging from the embarrassment of a scaffolder catching you naked to the tragedy of being blonde.
