Hold me now, Tom Bailey of 1980s New Wave/synth-pop hit makers Thompson Twins (who were actually a trio in their classic line-up and performed at Live Aid in 1985 with Madonna) is returning with his first ever solo album, Science Fiction, on July 13 via Mikrokosmos/BFD. It’s his first new album in two decades and is inspired by David Bowie’s death and Elon Musk’s vision of commercial space travel. Today he has shared a video for “What Kind of World,” which opens with a spaceship and images of Earth from space. Watch it below and catch Bailey on a U.S. tour this summer with Boy George & Culture Club and The B-52s.
