Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig Shares Demo of “Peter Rabbit” Song “I Promise You”

Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig wrote a song for the new Peter Rabbit movie, which is a modern live action/computer animated take on Beatrix Potter’s classic children’s characters. In the film and on its soundtrack the song, “I Promise You,” is sung by The Late Late Show host James Corden, who voices Peter Rabbit. But now Koenig has shared his original demo for the song (which sounds fairly well produced and features him singing the vocals instead). Listen to it below and Peter Rabbit is in movie theaters now if you’re so inclined.
