Vote!

America, You Know What to Do Today

Nov 05, 2024 Photography by Wendy Lynch Redfern

Today is election day. You already know that. If you’re an American, you know what to do today: vote! Or perhaps you’ve already voted (I did so on Saturday).

If you’re not sure where your polling place is, then find it here: www.vote.org/polling-place-locator.

Our Politics Editor, Steve King, has written a series of articles chronicling this election. We posted his latest article yesterday (read it here).

It goes without saying that we support Kamala Harris in this election (if you’ve read any of Steve’s posts that should be apparent). Beyond that, the indie rock community has a long history of being left-leaning. On my Instagram page I wrote about why I was personally voting for Harris.

Every four years since 2024, we’ve put out a Protest Issue, in which we photograph musicians holding protest signs of their own making and then auction the signs for charity. Below are photos from previous Protest Issues that promoted voting.

We are wrapping up a new Protest Issue right now, but still need to raise a few thousand more dollars to get it printed and shipped. You can get 30% off subscriptions and back issues here and help us get the issue over the finish line.

If you’ve recently canceled your subscriptions to The Washington Post and/or The Los Angeles Times because of their non-endorsements, then consider subscribing to Under the Radar instead, in light of our two decades of Protest Issues.
