Cass McCombs has premiered a brand new music video for “Unearthed,” taken off his most recent double album Big Wheel and Others. The third of four videos to be released this month, the Eric Fensler-directed visual sustains itself on a singular, still shot, focusing entirely on the beauty of a mountain peak as the sun slowly sets. “The story of the video is simply up to the viewer to discover and interpret,” says Fensler. “The visual accompaniment to the song wasn’t made to be explained in a press release, sorry. Lets all have a little mystery for once. I suggest simply putting some headphones on or go home and go full screen on that totally kick-ass home theater system you have and relax for three minutes to a cogitative music video. Hopefully it will make you stop and think for a moment.”
