Watch D’Angelo Cover Prince’s “Sometimes It Snows in April” with Maya Rudolph on Fallon
R.I.P. Prince
Apr 27, 2016 Prince
Prince passed away at his home last Thursday and the Prince tributes and covers have been fittingly constant ever since. Last night D’Angelo stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to cover Prince’s “Sometimes It Snows in April,” a song from 1986’s Parade (which was also the soundtrack to Prince’s 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon). D’Angelo performed the song on piano, backed only by Princess, a Prince cover band consisting of comedian/actress/singer/ex-Saturday Night Live performer Maya Rudolph and singer Gretchen Lieberum. Watch the beautiful performance below.
