Barcelona dance-pop foursome Delorean have premiered a new music video for “Unhold,” the latest single taken off the band’s fourth album Apar. Featuring vocals by Chairlift‘s Caroline Polachek, who also stars in the visual alongside the band, clip itself was filmed at Opus 40 sculpture park in Saugerties, New York and includes a variety of distorting visual effects. “We were looking for an outdoor location to contrast with the studio, with dimensions to make use of the effect we were using,” says director Eric Epstein in an interview with Nowness, who premiered the video. “The moving footage is resolved to a flat plane, so that everything in relief from that surface skews and stretches. The track has this sway to it that I thought could be complimented by the visuals. And to me the lyrics evoke misunderstanding and clashing perspectives, which seemed somewhat fitting for the approach we took.”
