Drive-By Truckers
Drive-By Truckers have shared a video for “Surrender Under Protest,” a song from their latest album, American Band, which is out now via ATO. Lance Bangs directed the clip, which focuses on the Black Lives Matter movement and was clearly timed to election day. Watch it below, via Pitchfork.
The band’s singer/guitarist Patterson Hood issued this statement on the video: “Lance Bangs filmed our new video for ‘Surrender Under Protest’ at the foot of Mississippi Avenue under the Fremont Bridge in Portland Oregon. I’ve long been a fun of Lance’s work and instinctively knew he would know exactly the perfect visual element for this song. We were filmed during the first rain of the season. Enjoy!”
