New York’s EZTV released a new album, High in Place, a couple of weeks back via Captured Tracks. Now the album’s “Racing Country” has a video. It was shot in the summer when the band was on tour with Jenny Lewis, who was featured on the album and also cameos in the video. The rest of the video features footage of the band goofing around on tour. The band filmed the video, which was edited by Christian Peslak. Watch it below via Pitchfork.
EZTV’s Michael Stasiak had this to say about the video: “Touring can feel like whiplash—hours of constant gradual motion punctuated by a burst of activity, a frenzied half hour set and then back in the van for more inertia. The video is a document of how we spent our summer of 2016 while waiting for our album to come out, opening shows for Jenny Lewis and mugging for each other’s phone cameras.”
