Fiona Apple
With her new album The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do finally seeing release today, Fiona Apple made her late night television return yesterday appearing on Jimmy Fallon. Joined by The Roots, Apple performed both her lead single from the record “Anything We Want,” as well as a web-exclusive cover of Wings’ “Let Me Roll It” in honor of Paul McCartney’s 70th birthday. In addition to the songs, Apple actually sat down with Fallon, mostly to discuss her infamous 2004 breakdown at the Roseland Ballroom, where Fallon had served as her opening act.
