Watch First Teaser Trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s “The Hateful Eight”
Western Due Out Christmas Day in Select Theaters
Aug 12, 2015 Quentin Tarantino
The first teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s new film, The Hateful Eight, has been released. Fittingly, it’s his eighth film. Tarantino wrote and directed the movie as per usual. Somewhat like his last film, 2012’s Django Unchained, this one is a western (although Tarantino referred to Django as “a southern,” due to its setting in the south). The Hateful Eight is set after the Civil War in snowy Wyoming and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Masden, and Bruce Dern. Ennio Morricone will be scoring the film, his first western score in 40 years.
Tarantino almost abandoned the film in the development process when an early version of the script was leaked to the Internet. But he soldiered on and the film is due out in 50 select theaters in the U.S. on December 25, 2015 in 70mm and nationwide January 8, 2016 via the Weinstein Company. Check out the trailer below.
