Watch: Florence and the Machine On “MTV Unplugged”
Includes Covers of Otis Redding and Johnny Cash
Apr 09, 2012 Florence and the Machine
Last night MTV experienced a rare moment of music-related programing when it aired a unplugged performance by Florence and the Machine. During the show’s 12-song performance Ms. Welch and her backing band included a number of choice cuts from her two LPs Lungs and Ceremonials, as well as covers of Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness” and the Johnny Cash/June Carter duet “Jackson,” the latter of which featured Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme. You can check out the full show here. A recording of night’s performance will be released on CD, deluxe CD/DVD, and digital download on April 10.
