Watch: Gruff Rhys - “Lost Tribes” Video
The Story of John Evans
Sep 29, 2014
Gruff Rhys
Releasing his multimedia album/app/film/book project American Interior earlier this year, former Super Furry Animal member Gruff Rhys has premiered a brand new music video for the effort’s latest single “Lost Tribes.” With the song itself inspired by 18th century explorer John Evans’ misguided attempt to find a lost Welsh tribe in the American frontier, the video—directed by Dylan Goch—sees Rhys dressed in the guise of a Welsh radical (“sartorially inspired in particular by the druid and Chartist Dr. William Price”) journeying across some very rugged terrain. Accompanying him in his quest is a felt avatar of Evans. Click below to watch.
