Watch: Morrissey Play Three New Songs
Show Cut Short After Fan Stage Invasion
May 08, 2014
Morrissey
Last night, Morrissey cut his show in San Jose short after being knocked over by a fan that rushed the stage. This brings up an interesting point: can you really penalize fans for trying to get a piece of you after encouraging them to go for it in the first place? (As anyone who’s ever seen the former Smiths frontman in concert can attest, the security guards may attempt to quell stage stampedes, but Moz usually has a big ol’ smile on his face.)
But whatever, it’s his world—we’re just living in it. The good news here is while the audience members might not have gotten their fifty bucks worth, the internet at large has gotten a taste of three new songs. Check out fan recorded videos of “World Peace is None of Your Business,” “The Bullfighter Dies,” and “Earth is the Loneliest Planet” below. World Peace is None of Your Business is out in July on Harvest/Capitol.
