Detroit-formed post punkers Protomartyr released their acclaimed third album, The Agent Intellect, last year via Hardly Art. Now the band have shared a video for “Dope Cloud.” Lance Bangs directed it. He’s directed videos for a plethora of indie and alternative icons, including Nirvana, Death Cab For Cutie, Sonic Youth, Pavement, Arcade Fire, Neutral Milk Hotel, R.E.M., Kanye West, The Shins, Belle and Sebastian, and many others. Bangs shot the video without any input from Protomartyr and then submitted it to them for their approval. The clip features a teenaged boy trapped in a phone booth (remember those?) as he’s attacked by a masked gang. Watch it below.
