Club’s “Undercover” series—where musicians try their hand at covering a band that has influenced them—Smith Westerns debuted their version of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ “American Girl.” And, as anyone who has heard Smith Westerns’ sophomore album Dye it Blonde could probably guess—it works.
