Shot at an abandoned Croatian beach resort, The/Das’ “Miami Waters” music video mixes decaying architecture and a gorgeous landscape with a bit of enthusiastic shadow-dancing. The once-magnificent structures that serve as the video’s backdrop were damaged by bombings during the Croatian War of Independence in 1991 and have been left to the elements ever since.
The Berlin-based duo (Fabian Fenk and Anton Feist) have released two EPs which pin Fenk’s slick vocal work onto hypnotic electronic grooves. (Check out the video for their previous single, “My Made Up Spook.”) Their debut full-length, Freezer, lands in the U.S. on September 2nd.
