Watch: The Flaming Lips - “Ashes In the Air” Video [NSFW]
Space Babies Are Ugly

“Ashes in the Air,” a collaborative track between The Flaming Lips and Bon Iver that was featured on the former’s guest-heavy LP The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, has landed itself a characteristically bizarre music video. In the clip a glowing spaceman with a giant eyeball for a head takes an infant from a crashed capsule and walks by a number of bloody, dismembered naked people, eventually depositing said baby (whose creepy, bearded CGI face looks like it was created by the same team behind the Twilight movies) into a meat grinder. Yup.
The Flaming Lips will release their new album The Terror on April 16.
