Stephin Merritt’s The Magnetic Fields recently released a new album, 50 Song Memoir, via Nonesuch. It’s a five-disc album that features a different song for every year that he’s been alive. Now he has shared a video for the song that tackles 2006, “‘06 ‘Quotes.’”
Roger Miller directed the animated video, which features paper and other objects moving around the screen, including some religious imagery. The clip was originally produced for the 50 Song Memoir tour directed by José Zayas. Watch it below.
