San Diego-based noise pop outfit Wavves released a fresh track today via the band’s blog and Twitter acounts—social media multitasking at its finest.

On “Horse Shoes, ” Mr. Bethany Cosentino (aka Nathaniel Williams) delivers a gauzy surf rock jam that spirals into guitar-and-drums blitzkrieg every so often. Emasculated girl-group harmonies top it all off, giving the schizophrenic track a sunny rather than eerie feeling—until, of course, it implodes at the end. Listen for yourself here.
