On August 24th Swedish duo Wildbirds & Peacedrums are releasing third full-length, Rivers (via Control Group).

Comprised of two eps Retina and Iris linked by reoccurring themes of water and sight, the album gave the married musicians a chance to expand their sonic pallet. Explains drummer Andreas Werliin via a press release, “After touring pretty much non-stop for two years we wanted to take it back a couple of steps,” she says. “The emotions are more subtle and dark. And we wanted to somehow collect these emotions and make them into songs that are linked all the way, but still very different. The lyrics on both EPs are connected to one another; the whole idea of the sound is worked out to build up this special atmosphere.”

Rivers Tracklist:

Retina:

1. Bleed Like There Was No Other Flood
2. Tiny Holes In This World
3. Under Land And Over Sea
4. Fight For Me
5. Peeling Off The Layers

Iris:

6. The Wave
7. The Drop
8. The Course
9. The Lake
10. The Well
