“Zombieland” 2 Trailer: Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin Return
Long-Awaited Sequel Due Out October 18 via Sony

Zombieland: Double Tap, the long-awaited sequel to 2009’s Zombieland, is finally coming out on October 18 via Sony and now the first trailer has been shared. The horror-comedy sees the return of original cast members Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin and the trailer jokingly points out that they are all Oscar nominees (and Stone is an Oscar winner). Watch it below. Above is the film’s poster.
Original Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer (Gangster Squad, Venom) is also back as the director. New cast members include Zoey Deutch, Rosario Dawson, Luke Wilson, and Thomas Middleditch. Back when Zombieland came out there was a little less zombie fiction around (it was a year before The Walking Dead debuted on AMC, for example). But while the zombie genre might be a little played out, the chemistry between the four main stars should be enough of an appeal. And since then the cast have done some notable high profile projects, including The Social Network for Eisenberg, La La Land for Stone (which got her that Oscar), and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri for Harrelson, making them all more of an audience draw now. The real question is, will they be able to top that hilarious sequence in the first film where Bill Murray played himself? I guess we’ll find out in October.
