The return of alt rock luminaries Broken Social Scene is cause for celebration. The Canadian collective’s fifth full-length, and first in seven years, Hug of Thunder, is out today and is fantastic. It’s certainly one of the best albums of the year so far. It’s hard to choose a song to lead into the glorious sound still intact, but “Protest Song” is as good as any. Check it out below and do yourself a favor - keep diving in. The water is both exhilarating and warm and after a while, you don’t want to get out.
