Swedish six-piece Humfree Bug Art (a play on Humphrey Bogart), aren’t afraid to mix politics with their music. Think of it as a little food for your brain while you wrap your ears around their epic well of their lush pop. (Fanfarlo and Shout Out Louds fans—this is for you.)

As explained by the band, their new single “Hawaii” is based on a story of a gay man who wanted to approach another man in a club in Stockholm. The man was struck with frustration and couldn’t go through with it due to a fear of being considered abnormal in a public eye. Not due to a fear of potentially being rejected.
