How to Dress Well

“You Won’t Need Me Where I’m Goin’” MP3

Aug 06, 2010

Lo-fi R&B musician/“post-Kantian philosophy” student How to Dress Well will unleash his debut album, Love Remains, on September 21 through Lefse. The vinyl streets in October. The album compiles and polishes some of the online-released, demo-like EPs Tom Krell released earlier this year. (Trivia: Krell now lives in Köln, Germany, but he’s originally from Brooklyn.)

One of Love Remains’ featured tunes is “You Won’t Need Me Where I’m Goin’,” which you can listen to now. It first appeared on HtDW’s Can’t See My Own Face - The Eternal Love 2 EP. It’s quite the sullen and wafting slow-burner. Krell sure has a haunting falsetto. Plus, I like the track’s ostensible play on this famous quote.
