Today Animal Collective announced their own festival, A N I M A L C O L L E C T I V E Camping Weekend in Big Sur. The camping festival runs September 23-24 at the Fernwood Resort in Big Sur, Californiaand is presented by (((folkYEAH!))). It will feature nightly performances by Animal Collective as well as sets by WIFE, Winter, The Range of Light Wilderness, M. Geddes Gengras and Jessica Pratt. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday. The band also has extended their tour, which is in support of their 10th album Painting With, through November to shows in Baltimore, Hawaii, San Diego, Canada, New York City and Florida. Full tour schedule below with most shows going on sale on Friday, March 25.

The shows are in support of the band’s 10th studio album, Painting With, released last month.
