Arctic Monkeys Frontman Featured on Soundtrack for ‘Submarine’
Includes Six Original Songs by Alex Turner
Domino Records announced today that it will release a 6-track EP on March 15 for the British independent feature Submarine, which marks the directorial debut of actor/comedian/writer Richard Ayoade. The EP showcases original songs, written exclusively for the film, from Arctic Monkeys vocalist/lead guitarist Alex Turner.
Submarine was an Official Festival Selection of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah last month. The movie, a comedic coming-of-age tale that details the tulmultous family and love life of 15-year-old Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts), will be released in theaters in the U.K. on March 18. As of today, there is no word of a U.S. release date.
The Submarine EP will be available in the U.S. via digital download.
