Charlotte Gainsbourg Announces Double Album
Duets With Villagers
Apr 13, 2011 Villagers
Things have been quiet on the Charlotte Gainsbourg front for awhile, but today the French chanteuse came out with two big announcements.
In honor of Record Store Day (April 16), Gainsbourg will be dueling with Irish troubadour Villagers on especially-written-for-her track, “Memoir.” The split 7-inch also includes a new track from Villagers called “Set the Tigers Free.”
But wait…there’s more.
This fall, Gainsbourg will also be releasing a double album called Live and Unreleased, filled with—you guessed it—live and unreleased material from her career to date. This includes a DVD documentary of a road trip.
