Spanish all-female quartet Hinds are releasing a new album, I Don’t Run, on April 6 via Mom + Pop. Previously they shared a video for its first single, “New For You,” which featured the band engaged in a game of football (or soccer if you must). Now they have shared the second single from their sophomore album, “The Club.” Listen below.

Hinds had this to say about “The Club” in a press release band statement: “When we wrote ‘The Club’ and first listened to it we couldn’t believe that we hadn’t write it before and that we hadn’t been listening to it for years. A friend said that it is more Hinds than Hinds themselves hahah. That’s why we chose putting it as the track 1 of the album. From now on it’s our presentation card.”

Hinds released their debut album, Leave Me Alone, back in January 2016 via Mom + Pop. Hinds co-produced I Don’t Run with Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor), and it was engineered by Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Perfume Genius, The War On Drugs, John Legend). A previous press release says that the band weren’t satisfied with just writing songs about being young and carefree. “On this album the struggles are clear. We want to be brave,” said guitarist and vocalist Ana Perrote.

“We loved making this album,” added Perrote. “We knew what we wanted and we have what we wanted. This is a new start for us and we’re fucking ready.”
