Beloved British veterans James released a new EP, Better Than That, back in May, and are releasing a new album, Living in Extraordinary Times, on August 3. Now they have shared a live video for single “Hank.” The politically charged song mentions Black Lives Matter, the mass school shootings at Columbine and Sandy Hook, and includes the line “White fascists in the White House.” It was filmed at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, England. With driving, almost tribal percussion, and a strong message, it’s a fairly sensational performance. Watch it below.

Previously we posted “Hank” from Living in Extraordinary Times, as well as the band’s performance of “Better Than That” on Later… with Jools Holland (the song is featured on both the recent EP and the upcoming album) and the video for the album’s “Coming Home (Pt.2).”

The album is the follow-up to 2016’s Girl At the End of the World. Charlie Andrew and Beni Giles produced Living in Extraordinary Times, which features Brian Eno on one track.

Frontman Tim Booth had this to say about the album in a previous press release: “We knew something was up when Leicester City won the league then Brexit, then Trump. It is as if we’d slipped into an alternate reality, a Philip K Dick reality. We are living in extraordinary times.”
