Johnny Marr Announces New Album, “Playland”

After releasing his debut solo album, The Messenger, just last year, former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr has announced the forthcoming arrival of his sophomore follow-up, Playland. “When The Messenger came out I kept on writing,” says Marr in a press release. “I liked that the band had a momentum going on tour and a connection with the audience, and I thought that energy would be good to capture on the new record.” Due out Oct. 7, Playland‘s tracklist can be found below under the cover art.
