Lawrence Arabia Announces New LP
The Sparrow Coming July 24
May 23, 2012 Lawrence Arabia
Lawrence Arabia, the pseudonym of New Zealand native James Milne, has announced the released of The Sparrow, the follow-up to his 2009 breakthrough album Chant Darling. Described as “a more measured and minmalist work, drawing particularly on the influence of the symphonic late-sixties work of Scott Walker and Serge Gainsbourg,” the new LP was written as Milne and his backing band The Prime Ministers were on the road, eventually settling down to record the material in a large house in Surrey in 2011. With the album scheduled for release on July 24, you can view a video teaser for the work as well as its official tracklist below.
