Broken Social Scene premiered a new song, “Halfway Home,” on SiriusXMU satellite radio today and now the song has surfaced online. The band will be stopping by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight to perform the new single and will be joined by longtime Broken Social Scene collaborators/members, Metric’s Emily Haines and James Shaw and Stars’ Amy Milan and Evan Cranley. Listen to the song below, as well as SiriusXMU’s interview with the band’s Kevin Drew. The band have been working on the follow-up to 2010’s Forgiveness Rock Record, which is done and due out later this year (and will also feature Feist).
