Back in March during his monthly BBC Radio 1 residency, James Blake played a track called “Bloke” by an artist he attributed as Simon Tallywhacker. Last night during his April installment, Blake revealed a white lie that Tallywhacker was in fact Jamie xx, and that “Bloke” was actually “Girl,” the a-side track to Jamie xx’s first solo single since 2011 (the single’s b-side “Sleep Sound” was shared earlier last week). Down below you listen to the “Girl,” which starts around the 11 minute mark. “Girl”/“Sleep Sound” comes out May 5.
