American Laundromat Records are releasing Say Yes! A Tribute to Elliott Smith on October 15. The Elliott Smith tribute album will feature newly recorded covers of Smith’s songs by Amanda Palmer, Jesu/Sun Kil Moon, Yuck, Waxahatchee, Lou Barlow, J Mascis, Adam Franklin of Swervedriver, Tanya Donelly, and others. Now Julien Baker‘s cover of “Ballad of Big Nothing” (originally found on Smith’s Either/Or) has been shared. You can listen below, via Entertainment Weekly.

Baker released her acclaimed debut album, Sprained Ankle, last fall via 6131 Records and recently performed at Under the Radar‘s official nighttime SXSW showcase. Read our recent 2015 Artist Survey interview with her.

Also, Under the Radar conducted the last ever interview and photo-shoot with Smith before his passing and you can read that here.
