Listen: New Grimes Song “Go,” Featuring Blood Diamonds
First Taste of Upcoming Album
Grimes, the musical project of Claire Boucher, has released her first new song in two years. It's called "Go," and it premiered today on Zane Lowe's show on Radio 1 in the U.K. as his "Hottest Record in the World."
The track features Montreal producer Blood Diamonds, and Grimes performed it live at Governor's Ball in NYC a few weeks ago. It's a bold, catchy piece of electronic pop that will probably push Grimes' star even further into the sky.
Of the song, Boucher wrote "It's our summer jam so we figured we should put it out cuz I am very bored of waiting to finish my album b4 releasing new music haha."
Grimes will next appear live at Time Festival in Toronto on July 19th and Pitchfork Festival in Chicago on July 20th. Dates can be found here. She's still at work on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2012's Visions.
