Feb 04, 2016 Nirvana
Last June at the fifth annual Quiet Music Festival of Portland Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks played a set that included covers and rarities. The set opened with a cover of Nirvana’s “Come As You Are,” from the iconic album Nevermind. The Quiet Music Festival recorded the former Pavement frontman’s set and you can stream it below via Bandcamp (where you can also purchase the recording for $9.00). The set begins with the Nirvana cover. (Also read our 2014 joint interview between Malkmus and Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen of Portlandia.)
