Part of a Split Record Store Day Release with Deerhoof

Of Montreal have released a stream of a previously unreleased song, “Feminine Effects.” It’s part of a split 7” record with Deerhoof. The 7” will be titled A Filthy Fifth and will come out on Record Store Day, April 21st 2012. “Feminine Effects” is a beautiful sounding pop ballad with shimmering reverb and slide guitars, and can be listened to below.
Don’t forget that both of Montreal and Deerhoof are playing our Friday SXSW party and that of Montreal are performing The Sunlandic Twins in its entirety, their first and only currently scheduled performance of the album. All the info on the party is here.
