New Massive Attack Album Due Out in February

After releasing a 4-song EP, Splitting the Atom, last month, Massive Attack have announced the release of their new album, Heligoland. The EP, which featured two tracks from the album, marked their first release in three years, and Heglioland, which will be the duo’s fifth studio release, is rife with guest appearances sure to soothe the waiting masses. Artists such as Damon Albarn, Hope Sandoval, Elbow’s Guy Garvey, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, and Martina Topley-Bird will grace the album’s liner notes.

The album is set for release via EMI’s Virgin Records on February 10, 2010.
