“We’re Kind of Making this Psychedelic, No Wave, Funk Album.”
Last year, Kevin Barnes told us about the “psychedelic, no wave, funk album” of Montreal was working on. Today, more details were released about the album, now officially titled False Priest.
Out September 14th on Polyvinyl, False Priest features funky turns by R&B songstresses Janelle Monáe and Solange Knowles, and production work from Jon Brion…and don’t even get us started on the album artwork (courtesy of Nina Barnes, Kevin Barnes’ wife).
