Sportsman is a self-proclaimed “pop melody whore.” The Swedish musician lives somewhere between R&B and electro pop, 1980 and the year 2020. He’s retro and futuristic, hopeful and heartbroken. Is it any wonder that we’re quickly falling of this ball of contradictions? His new EP Usher is out today via Best Fit Recordings. We’re pleased to have the premiere of the title track be sure to 1) stare pensively into the middle distance as you push play, and 2) buy the whole opus here.

I am very pleased to say that I am a big Usher fan. Since he came out with “My Way” I enjoyed his music since. He is the reason why I like R&B music to this day.

His songs resemble how I was first starting out loving women. When I listened to the lyrics of his music, I thought that I could learn how to treat a lady. I found out what it took to treat a woman the right way.

You see, loving a woman isn’t about talking about yoursel all the time. It’s about listening to her and where her feelings are at in life. You can’t expect them to draw interest to you if your full of yourself.

When you understand what they are saying to you, they see that. They find out for themselves that you are a man they can spend a lot of time with. This would eventually turn into a long time relationship.

If she can stand to be around you, that is what it is really all about. Companionship for the two of you. After learning this I am happy to say I ended up with a wife and two kids. I love them so much.

Unfortunately I am divorced now but I know what caused it. It was a loss of connection between her and I. I couldn’t find a good enough job to support us so I had to work in another state.

Sometimes life is unfair but it’s just how it goes. Listening to Usher I would say gave me a family for 8 years. Thank you Usher for the songs you have provided me. I learned a lot from you over the years.
