Six Organs of Admittance Wakes With New Album
Asleep on the Floodplain Due Out in 2011
Dec 13, 2010 Six Organs of Admittance
Six Organs of Admittance, the brainchild of psych-rock guitarist Ben Chasny, has dropped today several tidbits about the band’s forthcoming full-length record, Asleep on the Floodplain. According to the band’s press release, Chasny has returned to his roots of delicate acoustic tunes and lo-fi recordings, crafting and producing the new album’s tracks, which center around childhood nostalgia, in the complete solitude of his own home. Working as a recluse, however, did not mean Chasny was completely independent on this Six Organs effort—Asleep on the Floodplain includes several cameos, including Elisa Ambrogio on “River of My Youth.”
The album is currently slated for a February 22nd release.
