On Feb. 26 former member of The Smiths Johnny Marr will release his debut solo album The Messenger. Having teased a bit of the record with a few included tracks, Marr has unveiled the full LP in an online stream.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Marr said “This record is a little more rooted in the New Wave shows I used to sneak in to see when I left school – not directly, but in terms of the energy, the shadow of the memory of that.”
