The Flaming Lips Release ‘Blobs’ of New Music

Flaming Lips fans, rejoice—the fearless experimental rock artists have released today a batch of new (and free!) music, and they have truly outdone themselves. The digital-only single "Two Blobs F**king" breaks down into 12 separate tracks that, when combined with their melodic counterparts, form one complete song. Mind-blowing, right? The Flaming Lips had a feeling that would be the case, so they even made a two-minute instructional video on how to enjoy this unconventional musical experience. (Note: Their cheatsheet suggests you listen to the tracks on your iPhone—super lo-fi is key.)

The 12 individual tracks, which are accompanied with seizure-inducing visuals,  are available for streaming on The Flaming Lips' Youtube site.
