The Get Up Kids Announce “There Are Rules”
Out January 25, 2011
Oct 29, 2010 The Get Up Kids
The Get Up Kids (aka your high school crushes) are back January 25th with There Are Rules—their first full-length in seven years. Now more like “get up men,” the “Kids’” new album is a throwback to their formation fifteen years ago, think analogue recording and live takes. “This record came together really organically. We’d throw out an idea and if it didn’t work after 30 minutes we’d scrap it and move on to another one. We all wrote together really spontaneously and then fleshed it out with Ed in the studio,” says leadman Matt Pryor via press release.
