The Noise Pop Festival, which takes place in pretty much every San Francisco venue, is back in the new decade. The 18th Noise Pop, is happening February 23rd - March 1st, and features indie rock heavyweights and upstarts alike. Among the artists participating: The Magnetic Fields,  Rogue Wave, Four Tet, Atlas Sound, perennial hometown faves John Vanderslice and Mark Kozelek (Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon), The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Foreign Born, The Limousines, Zee Avi, and We Were Promised Jetpacks. Many more acts and the full schedule will be announced shortly. Note: The launch for the 2010 festival site is tomorrow, so keep checking the organizers' Twitter and Facebook accounts for more details.

The fest also hosts a music industry mini-fair called Industry Noise, which will feature panels, speakers, discussion groups, and career mentoring. That takes place February 27th at the Swedish American Hall.
