The Mars Volta Announce “Noctourniquet”

New Album Out March 27

The Mars Volta have announced the release of their forthcoming sixth album entitled Noctourniquet. The proper follow-up to 2008’s The Bedlam In Goliath the 13-track album is scheduled for release on March 27 via Warner Bros. and is said to be “inspired by disparate elements including ‘80s UK alt-rockers The Godfatheres, Superman comic nemesis Solomon Grundy, and the Greek myth of Hyacinthus.” While you can check out the awesomely designed cover art to the side, you can also see the album’s full tracklisting below.

This has nothing to do with the Superman character Solomon Grundy - it is about the nursery rhyme. This has literally been copied and pasted on Rolling Stone, Spin, and like 30 other outlets all because *one source* wrote it - and all the other “music journalism” sites are literally just copying and pasting the same 3 paragraphs, tracklistings, etc. This is a carbon copy of the Rolling Stone article with the same misinformation.

not to correct your misinformation, but the reason so many sites have the same info (including this one) is because the “one source” is the official press release, which is regularly approved by the artist they are written for. if you notice there are quotes around the description of the album because that’s what Mars Volta wanted to express to the press. it’s not our words. it’s theirs.
