The War on Drugs
Philadelphia-based indie rockers The War on Drugs announced today the much-anticipated release of their sophomore LP, Slave Ambient. The follow-up to the 2008 full-length Wagonwheel Blues and 2010’s EP Future Weather, Slave Ambient “is a brilliant 47-minute sprawl of rock ‘n’ roll, conceptualized with a sense of adventure,” according to the band’s press release. Joining frontman/lead guitarist Adam Granduciel on the album are multi-instrumentalists Dave Hartley and Robbie Bennett, and drummer Mike Zanghi. A download of single “Baby Missiles” is available for your listening pleasure here.
